Privacy Policy

Sample policy for the demo build. The client's licensee or aggregator normally supplies the approved wording before go-live.

Placeholder document. This page is structurally complete but the wording must be reviewed against the client's Australian Credit Licence obligations, the Privacy Act 1988 and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code before the site goes live.

What we collect

To assess a credit application we typically collect your name and contact details, date of birth, employment and income details, assets, liabilities and living expenses, identification documents, and — with your consent — credit reporting information from a credit reporting body.

Why we collect it

We use this information to assess what you can borrow, recommend suitable credit products, submit applications to the lender you choose, meet our responsible lending and anti-money-laundering obligations, and stay in touch about your loan after settlement.

Who we disclose it to

  • Lenders and lenders mortgage insurers you ask us to approach
  • Our aggregator and licensee, for compliance supervision
  • Credit reporting bodies, where you have consented to a credit inquiry
  • Your nominated accountant, conveyancer or financial advisor, where you ask us to
  • Service providers who host our systems, under confidentiality obligations

We do not sell your information, and we do not disclose it for marketing by third parties.

How we store it

Records are held in access-controlled electronic systems with encryption in transit. We keep credit files for the period required by law and destroy or de-identify them when they are no longer needed.

Website data

This site uses functional cookies only and does not run advertising trackers in its current form. Inquiry forms submit directly to our own systems. If analytics are added later, this section will name the provider and explain how to opt out.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything inaccurate, by emailing hello@beaconridge.example. We will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your information, contact us first at hello@beaconridge.example. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, or the Australian Financial Complaints Authority for credit-related matters. Both are free to consumers.

Changes

We review this policy periodically. The current version is always published on this page.
